The Dean family were traveling in Titanic's third class emigrating to Hume, Missouri. Bertram F. Dean, a pub owner, was lost in the disaster. In the (photo above) taken aboard Adriatic on the way home are Mrs. Eva Dean, her two-month-old daughter Millvina (in her arms) and her two-year-old Bertram (foreground).

Mrs. Dean later remarried, and died in England on September 16, 1975. Her son Bertram passed away on April 14, 1992, the disaster's anniversary,
